Stora Enso widens its range of certified EU Ecolabel cardboards for graphical applications. Now Ensocoat 2S, Aurocard and Performa Alto have recently obtained their certification, too, following Ensocoat, Chromocard, Performa White, Performa Bright and Performa Cream.
The EU Ecolabel certificate confirms that cardboards meet the European Commission green criteria set for graphic papers and paperboards and copy papers. As such, it is thus bound to be used by the graphic industry and not in the packaging sector. The EU Ecolabel requires the use of certified fibres for paperboard production, limitations in the use of hazardous substances and emissions, energy consumption restrictions and the adoption of waste management systems.
