The Finnish Stora Enso has sold the graphics specialist paper mill of Uetersen (small German town in the metropolitan region of Hamburg) to the European private equity fund Perusa Partners Fund 2. Since last February the paper mill has been operating under the name of Feldmuehle Uetersen www.feldmuehle-uetersen.com offering its products and services on the market as an independent company.
Feldmuehle Uetersen has about 400 employees and has a total annual capacity of about 250 thousand tonnes of paper. The range of products manufactured in the factory includes labels and paper for packaging, cardboard and graphics. The portfolio of current products includes well-known brands, as for example the paper for LabelSet and Uniset labels, and LennoKraft, MediaCard and MediaLiner packaging papers. The paper mill’s speciality, in other words the MediaPrint graphics paper, will be sold under the new brand Exceo.
