In 2017 the Italian paper and graphics Federation grew by 2.4% thanks to the positive performance of the paper sector (+5.9% in value, +2.1% in quantity) – mainly thanks to the greater volume of paper for sanitary and toilet usage (+4.6%) and for packaging (+2.8%) -, of graphics and technical papers machines (+8.7% in value) – driven by internal demand supported by the 4.0 incentives – and the technical paper and processing industry (+2.6% in value, +2.4% in quantity). This is the data published by SDA Bocconi School of Management regarding the results of the final report of the Check Up Industry 4.0 project, carried out between December 2017 and March 2018 on behalf of the Paper and Graphics Federation: energy recovery of the residues from the recycling process for a full circular economy and structural support for interpretation between the strategic priorities.
