Description: Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper TBK, a member of Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), has successfully started up its new OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) line and reject treatment system supplied by international technology group Andritz at its Karawang mill in Jawa Barat, Indonesia. This start-up marks a major milestone in the strategic partnership between the two companies, reinforcing their shared commitment to sustainable and high-efficiency paper production in Southeast Asia.
Details: The line is designed for a capacity of 2,000 tons per day and processes mixed OCC into high- quality fiber stock for testliner production. It includes a FibreFlow Drum Prime pulper, additional cleaning and sorting stages for efficient stock preparation, and a powerful reject treatment system. The scope of supply also includes equipment for reject compaction and a single-shaft shredder, which ensure reliable dewatering and uniform reject discharge.
