Andritz has announced the launch of a new generation of small-scale spray dryers designed to accelerate the transition from laboratory phases to industrial production. The new modular range is intended to support research and development activities, process optimization, scalability testing, and small-batch production, providing a faster and more reliable bridge toward industrialization.
The Dedert small-scale spray dryer line includes six models with water evaporation capacities ranging from 5 to 250 kg/hour, enabling applications across various sectors, from process validation to small-scale production.
The systems are available in standard configurations and can be built with single-stage or multi-stage architectures, with the option of integrating a fluid bed to improve powder properties and optimize energy efficiency.
The units are designed with a skid-mounted plug-and-play structure intended to reduce installation times and simplify operational start-up. The design places particular emphasis on safety and hygiene, complying with international fire protection standards and regulations for food and chemical production.
According to the company, the growing need to rapidly validate new formulations and manage frequent product changes makes it essential to have flexible systems capable of simulating real industrial conditions.
The modular system allows recipes and process parameters to be quickly adapted, facilitating controlled testing and generating reliable scalability data without committing large-scale production lines.
