Voith has equipped two Saica Paper plants in France with the modern compact dispersion systems from its BlueLine range.
The installation has improved the strength of paper products and achieved significant savings in starch consumption, while also reducing the required space by 35%.
The project has further strengthened the long-standing, trust-based partnership between Saica and Voith. In 2022, Voith successfully commissioned a compact dispersion system in the pulp preparation for PM 70 at Saica Paper in Nogent-sur-Seine, followed in 2023 by a compact dispersion system for pulp preparation on PM 60 at the Saica Paper plant in Champblain in Laveyron. Saica Paper, one of Europe’s leading producers of paper and cardboard packaging, expressed great satisfaction with the modern and efficient technologies that optimize its production processes and enhance product quality.
The system provides reliable operation with only three machines; the reduced number of machines decreases the space required by up to 35%. At the same time, the lower complexity simplifies system management and increases availability.
