Cascades invests $6.9 million in Kingsey Falls plant

Cascades has announced a $6.9 million investment in its Kingsey Falls uncoated recycled boxboard plant in Quebec to increase production capacity and improve product quality for food packaging.

Since last September, new equipment has been installed to enhance sheet quality control, optimizing surface finish and printing performance. This project strengthens Cascades’ position in the packaging market, driving growth and ensuring long-term competitiveness.

“This investment will allow us to increase capacity and remain a reliable partner for our customers,” said Hugues Simon, President and CEO of Cascades,thanking employees for their contribution to the project’s success.

Commissioned in 1972, the plant currently employs 68 people and serves industrial and food packaging markets, offering competitive working conditions. Cascades, active in North America with 60 facilities and approximately 9,000 employees, is recognized as a global sustainability leader in the packaging sector according to the Global 100 index.
