RDM Group announced that its CEO, Michele Bianchi, has been appointed President of Fibre Packaging Europe (FPE), the European alliance representing the fibre-based packaging value chain.
FPE brings together seven industry associations, covering about 1,500 companies, 2,200 plants, and 710,000 employees, with a combined turnover exceeding €110 billion.
The organization has called for competitiveness to be placed at the center of EU policymaking, alongside sustainability, in view of the upcoming “One Europe – One Market” roadmap and the implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
Bianchi emphasized the need to align sustainability and industrial competitiveness, stressing that a stronger, more harmonized Single Market is essential to support investment, innovation, and growth in the sector.
FPE also highlighted priorities such as harmonized extended producer responsibility systems, consistent rules for fibre-based materials, and improved recycling infrastructure.
For RDM Group, the appointment reinforces its leadership role in sustainable fibre-based packaging and its commitment to circular economy solutions.
