Holmen Board and Paper has launched Holmen Aspect, a new wood-fiber-based magazine paper designed to redefine editorial printing standards. The product stands out for its superior whiteness compared to traditional wood-containing papers, aimed at enhancing photographic reproduction, contrast, and image definition, even for high dynamic range content.
The smooth, matte surface ensures glare-free reading, while the high opacity allows for low grammage use without transparency, while still providing a perceived page thickness that feels premium. According to Holmen, Aspect enables the printing of high-end content more efficiently in terms of cost and resources.
Produced from residual wood sourced from sustainably managed Swedish forests, Holmen Aspect benefits from a production process that preserves the natural strength of fresh fibers. Holmen’s mills also report a carbon footprint below the industry average, contributing to reduced emissions across the supply chain.
