Cascades’ 2026-2030 Sustainability Plan, Rising Together, outlines the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance while creating value for customers, employees, suppliers, and communities. Built through a comprehensive stakeholder consultation and a double materiality assessment, the plan is structured around four strategic pillars.

The first pillar, Protected Nature, focuses on reducing the company’s environmental footprint through responsible fibre sourcing, lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduced energy and water consumption, and improved management of climate and nature-related risks. The second pillar, Eco-Designed Products, aims to advance the circular economy by increasing product recyclability, integrating eco-design principles, and improving transparency through product carbon footprint disclosure.

The third pillar, Fulfilled Employees, emphasizes employee health and safety, talent development, well-being, and engagement, fostering an inclusive and high-performing workplace. The fourth pillar, Engaged Partners, promotes responsible sourcing, sustainability training, community involvement, and stronger collaboration with suppliers and local organizations.

The plan includes 18 commitments and 10 measurable targets aligned with international sustainability standards and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Cascades also reinforces its science-based climate ambitions and biodiversity partnerships, reflecting its commitment to continuous improvement and responsible business practices.

Overall, the 2026–2030 Sustainability Plan demonstrates Cascades’ ambition to reduce its operational impact while supporting customers in achieving their own sustainability goals through innovation, collaboration, and circular economy solutions.
