Lecta reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability with the renewal of the official “BPA Free – No Phenols Added” certification, demonstrating the absence of Bisphenol A (BPA) and other phenolic compounds covered under the Ineris certification scheme across its full range of phenol-free Termax thermal papers.
The French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (Ineris) has once again certified that Lecta’s thermal products meet the highest market standards, confirming the company’s position as a leading reference in the thermal paper sector.
The “BPA Free – No Phenols Added” certification by Ineris is based on a rigorous verification process that includes the assessment of technical documentation, an audit of the manufacturing process, and laboratory analysis of the thermal paper. The certification evaluates key aspects such as production, quality control, traceability, and methods for monitoring the composition of thermal papers. The conclusions of the audit confirm that Lecta fully complies with all the requirements of the Ineris approval scheme and that its certified Termax products do not contain any of the 15 phenolic compounds identified by the institute. Termax is Lecta’s range of thermal papers specially designed for direct thermal printing. It is suitable for variable data and barcode printing across a wide variety of applications, including receipts, labels, and tickets in sectors such as retail, transport, food, events, healthcare, and gaming.
In addition to the Ineris certification, the entire Termax range is produced according to ISO 14001 and EMAS environmental management standards, ISO 50001 energy efficiency, ISO 9001 quality management, and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards. Upon request, Termax papers are also available with PEFC or FSC C011032 Chain of Custody forest certifications. With this certification renewal, Lecta strengthens its leadership in the production of thermal papers by offering high-quality, safe, and more sustainable products tailored to the needs of an ever-evolving market.
