Lecta has obtained the flustix “Less Plastics Product” certification for EraCup Natural, an SBB (Solid Bleached Board) designed for the food service sector and made of at least 99.25% non-plastic materials, the highest level awarded under this European certification.
Produced from cellulose sourced from certified, sustainably managed forests, EraCup Natural features a smooth outer surface suitable for flexographic and offset printing, and an inner side coated with a water-based dispersion that ensures excellent heat-sealing resistance and high conversion performance.
In addition to the flustix label, the product has also achieved DIN CERTCO certification for industrial and home compostability, as well as Aticelca 501/19 Level A for recyclability.
This achievement strengthens Lecta’s ongoing strategy to reduce the use of non-renewable resources and promote circular, low-impact packaging solutions, in line with its “A New Era of Responsibility” concept.
