Smartlogistix and Fosber Group have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly develop automated intralogistics solutions for corrugated board production.
The partnership aims to create an innovative, scalable technology for the automated handling of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products. The goal is to optimize automatic material supply, enhance operational continuity, increase efficiency, and improve safety by eliminating human error and reducing reliance on manual forklifts.
The system stems from a joint design process that combines Fosber’s operational and technological requirements with Smartlogistix’s expertise in logistics solutions for the paper and tissue industry. Through this collaboration, Fosber will offer a complete intralogistics solution supported by the experience and quality of an internationally recognized partner.
“We are proud to establish this agreement with Fosber, a leading industrial player in the Lucca district and in the corrugated board machinery sector,” says Mauro Celli, President of Smartlogistix. “This collaboration leverages complementary expertise and creates real added value for our customers worldwide.”
“This is an important step in expanding our portfolio of value-added solutions,” adds Marco Bertola, CEO of Fosber Group. “It allows us to develop a coil-handling system fully aligned with our design and quality standards, while meeting our customers’ needs. We are confident this synergy will bring tangible benefits to the market and strengthen our technological offering.”
The agreement represents a significant step toward a shared vision of integrated intralogistics, where machines, software, and handling systems communicate natively to make plants smarter, more modern, and sustainable.
