Voith and Ecowipes announce the Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) for the new WLM 2 line in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Poland. The line, with a 3,750 mm wire width and 300 m/min design speed, has an annual capacity of around 20,000 tons of CP wipes (60% pulp, 40% viscose) for baby wipe applications.
The project features the first-ever use of the FloatLip Former in this application, a compact, space-saving alternative to the traditional HydroFormer. The wipes are 100% plastic-free and biodegradable, meeting growing demand for sustainable hygiene products.
Artur Gałwiaczek, Head of Technology at Ecowipes, highlighted the success of the collaboration with Voith, emphasizing high quality, efficiency, and sustainability, while Oliver Crasser, Sales Manager at Voith Paper, noted the commitment to energy-efficient and innovative solutions.
The partnership ensures ongoing optimization of the WLM 2 line and paves the way for future innovations in sustainable nonwoven production.
