Metsä Tissue will rebuild machine 5 in its Düren plant in Germany. The total investment is about 15 million euros and the reconstruction of the machine has immediately started. The new production volumes will be available on the market in the last quarter of 2018. «We expect the demand for oven and baking paper to continue increasing in the future», says the SVP Baking & Cooking manager for Metsä Tissue Mariusz Jedrzejewski. «This investment will increase the paper production capacity in Düren by 10 thousand tons. This will help us guarantee our leading position as global suppliers of high quality oven and baking paper».
