Sonoco www.sonoco.com has announced the start of Robert C. Tiede’s term of office as its new president and managing director. Tiede replaces Jack Sanders, who has been at the helm of the company since 2013.
Before being appointed CEO, Tiede was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sonoco, with overall leadership for sales and operational responsibility for all activity linked to consumer and industrial packaging. Tiede is the outgoing president of the Flexible Packaging Association and president of Hartsville United Way.
