Description: International technology group Andritz has successfully started up a state-of-the-art recycled fiber line for N.R. Agarwal Industries Ltd. in its mill located in Vapi, India. The new line comprises a four-layer paper machine approach system, a broke handling system, and a fiber recovery system to process a mixture of SOP, CBS and high-bright paper. With a capacity of 685 t/d the line provides superior recycled fiber for the largest coated duplex board machine in India.
Details: Andritz supplied innovative technology and equipment to improve capacity and reliability, including:
• the largest FibreFlow drum Prime (FFD) in India with a length of 32 m and inner diameter of 3.5 m for gentle slushing and efficient removal of coarse contaminants with minimal fiber loss
• a PrimeScreen X, including the innovative PrimeRotor, for enhanced screening efficiency and significantly reduced energy consumption
• a compactly designed paper machine approach flow (PMA) system for even and stable pulp supply with lowest energy consumption and maintenance
