The research project, initiated by Aticelca with the support of Innovhub and Lucense-Centro Qualità Carta, and dedicated to the study of a solution for measuring macrostickiness in the presence of interference from metallization, has been successfully completed. The methodology developed through this project will enable the updating of the Aticelca 501 Recyclability Assessment System, enabling the measurement of adhesive particles even in the presence of interference from metallization or colored barrier coatings, thus overcoming the limitations of the current methodology. The new procedure uses a pink powder and image management software, called Aticolor-501, developed specifically during the project. A new version of the Aticelca 501 Recyclability Assessment System will, as usual, be released for public consultation soon. The project results have also been made available to CEPI, 4Evergreen, and CEN as a shared resource for the development of increasingly refined and shared recyclability analysis methods.

Aticelca would like to thank the companies that participated in the project: Nissha Metallizing Solutions NV, Plastigraf Trevigiana Srl, Seda Italy Spa, Torraspaperl SAU (Lecta Group), Ecol Studio Spa and Assocarta.
