The Austrian wood processing company Fundermax has completed the purchase of the Norwegian manufacturer of paper and cardboard Ranheim Paper & Boardwww.ranheim-pb.com.
For several years Ranheim Paper & Board has been supplying Fundermax with saturating base paper, an important raw material for manufacturing Fundermax’s various products. With this purchase, Fundermax is expanding its supply chain, which gives the company a significant competitive advantage.
Ranheim Paper & Board is the largest supplier of recycled paper and cardboard in Scandinavia. The factory was part of the Norwegian manufacturer of packaging, Peterson Packaging. When Pemco, the ex-owner of Peterson Packaging, sold Peterson’s corrugated packaging business to VPK Packaging, the Ranheim paper mill remained the property of Pemco and was established as an independent company.
