Fabio Perini Spa has obtained the prestigious ISO 50001 certification for environmental sustainability. This milestone was reached after a journey begun in 2012 with the placing of Fabio Perini amongst the most avant-garde companies in the converting sector.
“To begin with”, asserts Riccardo Signorini, manager of maintenance and capex of Fabio Perini spa “we implemented steps which can be defined as “good housekeeping”, like the nightly turning off of the cranes and the use of our home automation systems to reduce electric and heating energy waste. Furthermore, through LSS methodology, we identified the best strategy for a more efficient energy management system, leading to Fabio Perini, by 2016, being given the award “Italia in Classe A” from the Agenzia Nazionale per l’Energia Enea `[National agency for energy, ENEA]”.
Subsequently, Fabio Perini introduced LED lights in the workshops, solar heating to get hot water in summer, solar film for windows facing south and west, and finally one of the air compressors was replaced by a new generation model with inverter.
