Metalvac FP is Lecta’s metallized paper designed for flexible packaging applications that do not require specific barrier properties, suitable for end-use applications such as chocolate wrappers, ice cream cones and many other barrier-free food packaging applications.

Papers used in flexible packaging must be compatible with a range of converting processes such as printing, laminating, extrusion, and pouch production. They must exhibit good machinability and processing capabilities in converting equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality packaging, properties that are distinguished in Metalvac FP. The main feature that distinguishes this metallized paper from the rest is the special treatment applied to it that, according to current regulations, prevents the emission of strange odors that could alter the aroma and taste of the food. Metalvac FP paper undergoes a sensory test by which minimal thresholds of perception of strange aromas and tastes can be detected. It also has several features that make it a very suitable paper for this type of application. The most important of these are its flexibility to adapt to various packaging formats, strength and printability to achieve vibrant, high-quality graphic designs and branding. Lecta’s Metalvac papers are recyclable and made from wood sourced from renewable and responsibly managed forests, making them more environmentally sustainable alternatives to non-renewable materials.

The entire Metalvac range is manufactured to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, which are essential for the food industry, in compliance with ISO 14001 and Emas environmental management, ISO 50001 energy efficiency, ISO 9001 quality and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards. It is also available upon request with Pefc Chain of Custody forest certification or FSC C011032 certification.
