The Finnish Metsä Tissue has presented the expansion plans for the factory in Krapkowice, in the south/west of Poland. Essentially the project plans to enlarge the storage facility. Building works have already started and the new section of the warehouse will start being used at the end of 2018. “We expect the demand for toilet paper to continue to grow in all segments of the market”, explains Juha Tilli, vice president of Away from Home. “The favourable position of the Krapkowice factory makes it easier to serve clients in both central and western Europe, and the expansion of the warehouse will ensure rapid and reliable deliveries to clients”. “This investment”, declares Paweł Ehrlich, director of the Krapkowice factory“is good news for our factory and a clear signal from the Metsä Group. The expansion of the warehouse, which in fact will double its capacity, will help us to be competitive and operate effectively in the coming years. This is a good sign for the whole Krapkowice community”.

The Polish factory is managed by a work force of about 370 employees. The Krapkowice site produces a wide range of products sold under the brand names Mola, Tento and Katrin. In addition, the company also supplies its products to retailers who sell them as their own brand products.
