The British company Northwood Paper, which deals with the production, provision and recycling of tissue paper, has acquired the trading operations and activities of the entire Sidcot Group, including the recycled tissue paper plant in Chesterfield. The agreement in the United Kingdom for the Sidcot Group includes the recycled paper mill in Chesterfield and the conversion operations for Matryx (paper products), Techcel (folded products) and Negociar (trade and supply). Northwood Paper has acquired the trading operations and activities of Dicepa Papalera in Enate, in the North-East of Spain. This includes a paper mill in Enate and converting operations in Madrid.

These acquisitions further increase the production of recycled tissue paper and the conversion capacity of the Northwood platform. According to a note released by the company, «the integration of Chesterfield with the Disley and Lancaster paper mills, as well as with the recently acquired mill in Enate, Spain, brings about a major advantage, especially in times of serious turbulence linked to Brexit, i.e. the safety of supplies for your vertically integrated business model».
