Avery Dennison Corporation has announced the appointment, with immediate effect, of Pascale Wautelet as global vice-president of Research and Development for the Label and Graphic Materials group. Wautelet succeeds Hassan H. Rmaile, who was promoted at the start of the year as vice-president and general manager for Global Graphics and Reflective Solutions and vice-president of Global Technology and Ventures for Avery Dennison.
As global VP for R&S, Wautelet will guide the global network of research and development of Label and Graphic Materials, including supervising the seven regional research and development centres and teams. Wautelet joined Avery Dennison in July 2017 as vice-president of Label and Graphic Materials for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has more than 20 years of international experience in many functions in the chemical/petrochemical/plastic sector, including flexible packaging and labelling. Before joining Avery Dennison, Wautelet was global technology director at Jindal Films, which oversees company innovation and research and development in Europe and North America. She received a doctorate in chemistry of materials and polymers and obtained a master certificate in polymer chemistry at the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Chemistry at the Louvain-La-Neuve University, in Belgium.
