Founded in 1976, Carer works in the sector of the application and principals of electric technologies to the forklift trucks continuing to invest in research, development and application of those key principles in order to optimize and improve quality and performances of the products.
Specialized in the design and manufacture of electric forklift trucks able to handle heavy and bulky loads, Carer is considered as a perfect partner providing solutions for the material handling in the paper industry.
More and more, biggest companies in the paper industry, are choosing Carer as a perfect solution in replacing Diesel forklift trucks with electric ones, contributing to a significant reduction in operating costs, maintaining high levels of productivity and performances. Tetra Pack, Burgo, DS Smith, Smurfit Kappa, Kimberly-Clark are just some of the companies who have chosen Carer.
DS Smith is a good example. Recently, in fact, it has concluded in Holland a contract for eight Carer electric forklift trucks, 7 ton capacity to replace eight diesel units currently used. DS Smith Holland has begun to look at the big electric forklift trucks in 2004 when the firsts Carer were introduced in Tilburg and Eekbeek plants. This choice was dictated by the need of reducing the trucks costs of ownership replacing the old diesel trucks with machines which offer high performance, low operating costs and a total reduction of CO2 emissions. The comparison made between two 7 ton trucks is clear: it has been estimated the saving of around 60,000 Euros per truck over 5 years, using a Carer with a 1000Ah in a running shift of 8 hours a day. DS Smith now uses 18 Carer forklift trucks.
