Solenis will increase the prices of its chemicals used for the production of cellulose and paper and polyacrylamide (PAM) products for the treatment of industrial waters. The increase between 5 and 10% will be immediately effective and concern the Asia-Pacific market. Variable increases are expected for the various products in those countries that experienced a significant devaluation of their local currency.
«The increase in the costs of key raw materials, labour, transports and production is the main reason for the overall price increase», says Charles Robinson, senior VP of the Pulp and Paper division.
The senior VP of Industrial Water Technologies Edward Connors states that «Solenis is trying to control costs through the improvement of processes in order to provide high added value and the innovative solutions that our customers are waiting for».
