Thomas Rajcsanyi is the new managing director of Sappi Alfeld, the paper mill in Lower Saxony of the Sappi Group. He replaces Stefan Karrer, who left the company for personal reasons. The fourty-seven-year-old Rajcsanyi affirmed his willingness to maintain the development project of the Sappi Alfeld plant as a competence centre for special papers and cardboard. As the manager says, «my predecessors have taken the most adequate decisions and laid the foundations for a successful future by choosing for the Alfed plant to focus exclusively on special papers».
In his capacity as newly appointed managing director Mr Rajcsanyi plans to carry on with the current strategy of reinforcing the special paper business. He will focus on further optimizing and using the five paper machines inside the plant. He also intends to maintain the high quality standards of the large range of special papers and cardboards produced in the plant. This can be done by adding packaging solutions to the product portfolio of Sappi.
