AkzoNobel has announced the sale of its biomaterial technologies to Ashland. The transaction should be completed in the third quarter of this year. The business is in its initial phase of marketing and the transfer of this technology is part of AkzoNobel’s strategic revision of its business programme. This transaction will allow the company to concentrate on its main technological platforms: special surfactants and polymers.
