Emmepi Group has implemented an automated product handling system at Saica’s new facility in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, inaugurated on October 27, 2026, following an investment of €100 million. The project integrates corrugated and solid board production lines into a single, coordinated flow, connecting machinery from different suppliers through PLC and HMI control systems.
The solution also links the automation network to Saica’s ERP system, enabling real-time production data exchange and optimized material flows. The new 70,000-square-meter facility has an expected annual production capacity of 200 million square meters. The project highlights the growing importance of integrating automation, software and material handling technologies in high-capacity packaging plants.
