Valmet has introduced a new multilevel measurement solution for measuring liquor tank levels at evaporator plants. A reliable and robust online solution, Valmet Multilevel Measurement, enables real-time monitoring and consequently correctly timed soap skimming in intermediate or weak liquor tanks.
The density-independent measurement is based on electrical impedance technology (EIT), which allows robust detection of components or phases with differing conductivities. This enables interface detection in a multiphase system, allowing, for example, the identification of liquor-soap, liquor-foam and soap-air interfaces.
Multilevel Measurement is fully integrated with the Valmet Industrial Internet solutions portfolio. Measurement information can be combined with Valmet’s advanced process control applications or third-party plant automation systems.
