Esa Kaikkkonenwas appointed CEO of Metsä Tissue Corporation,the tissue and kitchen roll unit of Metsä Group. Since 2013 Kaikkkonen has been at the head of Metsä Group’s wood products industry, Metsä Wood, and he worked as General Counsel of Metsä Group in the period 2003-2012. Petri Helsky, who has been CEO of Metsä Tissue Corporation from 2015, is leaving the company.
In addition, Juha Mäntylä was appointed COO of the parent company of Metsä Group Metsäliitto Cooperative. As well as his current position as manager of forestry services and wood supply for the group, i.e. Metsä Forest, Mäntylä becomes manager of Metsä Wood. Since 2008 Mäntylä has been the manager for wood supply and forestry services. Since 1998 he has covered various other managerial positions in the group in the timber supply sector.
