For the 16th consecutive year SKF was named amongst the most sustainable companies in the world by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI), launched in 1999, which represents the most long-running benchmark for global sustainability.
Logistic management, transparent fiscal strategy and global environmental management programme are the three areas in which the Group has distinguished itself, being classified as amongst the best. One of the most important successes of the year, obtained thanks to the climate strategy of the Group, Beyond Zero, was the global certification ISO 50001 announced in February: 38 production sites, which account for about 90% of the direct total consumption of energy of the Group, implemented the SKF energy management system, contributing to a reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions throughout the value-added chain.
