Since 1st March 2019 Juha Lappalainen, senior vice president, strategy and operational development (SOD),has taken up a new role in the Services business of Valmet. In his new role he will focus on the management of business line strategic projects and will report to Aki Niemi, business line president, services. Because of this change, Valmet will split the Strategy and Operational Development function so that the Strategy function is integrated into Valmet’s Finance corporate function, led by CFO Kari Saarinen. Julia Macharey, who currently holds the office of senior vice president, Human Resources, in Valmet, has been appointed senior vice president, Human Resources and Operational Development. The changes will come into effect from 1st March 2019.
