The Dutch industrial investment group Value Enhancement Partners (VEP) acquired a majority stake in Cordier Papier Holding e Cordier Spezialpapier, i.e. one of the German leading producers of graphical and technical papers in South-Western Germany. In recent years Cordier has been successful in the development of new products thanks to the close collaboration with its partners. Besides focusing on its existing portfolio of special papers, it has established new partnerships for its upcycling activities. After careful analysis Cordier’s shareholders decided to involve Value Enhancement Partners as investment partner, thus providing the company with the necessary capital and know how to exploit further growth opportunities.

Cordier sees potential in cellulose pulp and special papers for industrial applications, that is the reason why no changes in the work force at Cordier have been announced.

At the moment, Cordier employs about 235 employees in three plants in Germany. The company produces uncoated paper without wood mainly for the European book market and special technical paper for niche markets worldwide.
